A fully-integrated outer-case coding system has recently been installed at ELEY HAWK to work in conjunction with the six Codent primary case coders. An innovative case product recognition system is used to change outer-case graphics to suit each of the six different products being packed.

The Gorseinon facility of the 3M company recently approached inkjet companies to tender for new coders to replace existing Linx CIJ units. After performing successful on-line trials against Domino hi-resolution systems, Acorn Digital Inks Ltd were chosen to provide Codent systems due to their user-friendliness, simplicity of operation, reliability and economy of use. Additional Codent units have since been installed at the Gorseinon facility by Acorn Digital Inks Ltd, further emphasising the superiority of the Codent unit. |
